Balancing the Equilibrium of Life

Write by:

As a woman, wife and a mother I feel inspired to write about hope and some of the issues facing the modern Christian woman and growing our faith through the Holy Scriptures. I feel that a woman‘s life is incomplete every time we stop being hopeful for hope is one of the core elements of our Christian faith. ―Hope is desiring of things that we can‘t understand how they will happen, but want them to. It gives us courage and confidence in moving forward. It provides encouragement and builds our faith.

When we live in hope it gives God great joy. In the book of

Psalms 147:11

the Lord‘s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love.

Many are times we find ourselves fighting for our families, children, husband, material things or even our faith but we forget to trust in God and seek his intervention in fighting for our battles for he says in the book of Joshua 10:25 ―Don‘t ever be afraid or discouraged,‘ Joshua told his men. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord is going to do this to all of your enemies.

Joshua 10:25

Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous. This is what the LORD will do to all the enemies you are.

From the beginning, God created the woman as a helper, comforter and the joy of the family, it is therefore important for a woman to be a unifying factor between the children, their father and the extended family.

Due to economic changes that continue to affect our families, the modern Christian woman has found herself in a dilemma of how to balance work and family. This has in some cases led to disagreements with the husband, and absenteeism of women in the upbringing of children. This has led to lack of a mother figure, and possible corrosion of family values in our children.

Financial pressure continues to affect women because in our nature we tend to be selfish, jealous of our counter-parts who seem to be doing well and instead of praying to God for a financial breakthrough we fill our hearts will bitterness, low self-esteem leading us to unnecessary fights with our husbands after comparing our lifestyles with that of others. The word of God from the book of (1 Corinthians 2:9) says

1 Corinthians 2:9

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.

This comes as an assurance that we need to trust in God and have hope that he will raise us to another level.

As Christian women we‘re required to be submissive to our husbands and equally treat others with respect and this extends to our workmates, people who work for us, and despite our social status we should at all times be humble and treat everyone equally. Jesus whom we all imitate treated the poor, rich, old and young equally for the glory of God whom we seek. As God fearing women we need to understand how to balance the equilibrium of life. Agreeably, we need to become empowered, lead a great career but this shouldn’t be at the expense of our other responsibilities that God has entrusted on us. Finally as Christian women we should live by hope, prayers and faith so our lives, families and career will be founded on a solid rock that cannot be shaken by storms, thunders or swiped away by tides of the evil one. I believe this is the beginning of living a fulfilled life in Christ Jesus as it is written in the book of (Malachi 3:16). God has promised us that he will always listen to us so let us seek him and worship him in truth and in spirit.
